Clinton Museum
I finally decided to get the pictues off of our cell phone and ran across these ones. A friend posted about a free day at the Clinton Museum back in August and we decided to go. It was a kind of back to school event where they also handed out backpacks and gave immunizations, but we went for the free admission. They did have some fun activities set up outside the museum as well. The temporary exhibit that was on display inside the museum was Dale Chihuly blown-glass art. It was really incredible. When we came home we looked up a little of how he does it. It's like melting glass and then blowing huge bubbles in them, but of course more intricate and time consuming.
They had bounce houses and blow-up slides outside. Thomas really enjoyed those.
The Arkansas Game and Fish Comission was there as well with some pelts they could touch.
Here is an example of the blown glass. Other than for this picture, we made the kids stay far away!
Thomas is sitting in the president's seat! They have a mock cabinet room as well as a mock Oval Office at the museum.
